HAIR TRANSPLANTS :
The regrowth rate of the transplanted hair is approximately 80-90%, depending on the patient.
STRIP :
- The advantage of STRIP over FUE is that you do not need to shave the donor site.
- The downside is that it leaves a linear scar in the donor area (less than half a centimeter wide), visible with short haircut.
- Three to four technicians divide the strip into follicular units under the microscope and, simultaneously, two more technicians help for the insertion of the grafts.
FUE MANUAL OR AUTOMATED :
- The advantage of FUE is that it allows patients to wear almost shaved hair (minimum pinpoint scars), but it is more laborious than STRIP.
- Dr. Jimenez performs all extractions himself, after shaving the donor area, with a circular punch (0,9 - 1,0 mm diameter), manual or motorized.
- The implantation is performed with tweezers (after prior incisions are made) or with special implanter pens.
