DHI Hair Transplant
What is DHI?
Direct Hair Implantation (DHI) is an advanced variation of FUE. It uses a specialized tool called a Choi Pen to extract and implant hair follicles simultaneously, reducing the time grafts spend outside the body.
Key Differences
- No Canal Opening: The Choi Pen creates the channel and implants the follicle in one step.
- Higher Density: Allows for closer placement of grafts.
- No Shaving: Often possible to perform without shaving the recipient area.
Pros
- Higher density possible
- No need to shave recipient area
- Less bleeding and faster healing
- Control over angle and depth
Cons
- More expensive than FUE
- Takes longer to perform
- Limited number of grafts per session
